The Swedish Women’s Educational Association International, Inc. (SWEA) is pleased to
announce its 33rd annual
SCHOLARSHIP FOR RESEARCH IN THE SWEDISH LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND AREA STUDIES FOR THE YEAR 2016
The SWEA International Scholarship, in the amount of USD 10,000, will be awarded to a well merited doctoral candidate in the Swedish language, literature or area studies. It is addressed specifically to candidates who are well into the process of writing their dissertations. The candidate must be residing permanently outside Sweden and be studying at a non-Swedish university.

Application form and criteria for the scholarship are available in Swedish on SWEA International’s website, www.swea.org

Deadline for submission of applications and supporting letters is January 15th, 2016, to be sent by e-mail to litstip@swea.org.
Applications will be evaluated by an independent jury.
March 2016. The Committee for the Literature Scholarship approves the candidate and the recipient is notified of the award. All other applicants are informed about the decision.

The scholarship is planned to be awarded at the “Sverigemiddag” in Göteborg, August, 2016.
